Illustration Friday - "Cars"

Found this great reference picture over at morguefile by fox-out, but I'm afraid I didn't do it justice. However, since I was suffering from a touch of stomach flu at the time, I think I can be excused.

At any rate, it's ACEO size, Prismacolors on Stonehenge white.

Illustration Friday - "Signs"

Okay, you know I'm a science fiction writer, right? So "Signs" automatically made me think of crop circles (strangely, I've never seen the movie by the same name). Crop circles are rather close to my heart as one of my early published stories centered around them. Even if they're all hoaxes, they're cool to look at. And if they're not all hoaxes...

Anyway, this is based on a crop circle that appeared in Wisconsin. It's ACEO size, Prismacolors on Somerset Velvet Newsprint Grey.

Illustration Friday - "Citrus"

I love the bright colors and vibrant scents of citrus fruits, so this one was really fun to draw. ACEO size, Prismacolors on Stonehenge white. Mmmm, now I'm hungry...

Illustration Friday - "Neighbor"

I finally found ten minutes (really ten minutes!) to sketch this little neighbour I'm always happy to welcome back to the neighbourhood. His appearance means spring is really here.

ACEO size, Polychromos on Somerset velvet newsprint grey.
